Sorry to hear about your problem. Hopefully, we can help you out! The first thing you want to do is contact the manufacturer and let them know what the issue is. Simply describe the problem and they should be able to find you a solution.
We would suggest that you get some WD-40 (oil) and apply it to the removable parts. This will help loosen any parts that are giving you trouble. When you put together the recliner you probably noticed that it was a “snap” that attached the parts. The easier thing would be to flip the recliner so that it’s bottom is facing into the air and try removing the back that way.

Certainly the seller wants us to buy the chairs, yet what options do they offer for replacing the power cord if not a warranty issue and it was simply lost? I hope it is not buy a new chair. 🙂
